United HS will be participating in a free weekend for any of our league players that wish to practice with the new Womens College program at U of ILL. Head Coach Kim Nelczyk will be running practices and talking about opportunities for girls after High School, the recruiting process and playing in college. Kim is a Chicago native, she grew up playing AAA for TI and Mission, participated in 4 Youth Tier 1 National Championships and played NCAA D1 hockey at Union College.

The event is on January 20th. This is a day trip, the girls will be on ice from 9:30-11:30, Practice and scrimmage, there will be lunch and a college tour following the ice time. There will be players from Chicago and Indiana also attending the event.

We will be getting Summer Registration open as soon as possible. 

For those interested it will run the end of May through End of July.

United is expecting to field 4 teams this season. Evaluations for the 2023-24 Season will be held on 2 upcoming weekends:

Eval 1: August 12th 12:50 and 2:00 at Mills Mall Ice Zone

Eval 2: September 8th and 9th, each 8:40 PM at Webster Groves Rink. 

Eval 3: October 7th, 8:40 PM at Webster Groves Rink. (This session will be for skaters that have not previously attended sessions 1 or 2).

Eval 4: October 8th 5:00 PM @ Webster Groves Rink.

Players will be emailed which session to attend following their registration.  Bring light and dark jerseys. 

2023-24 Season fees will be $465 Skaters/$275 Goalies, this will include evaluation ice, game ice and uniforms. 

We will be offering optional weekly practices this season beginning in September. They will be held on Thursday, Friday or Saturday at Webster Groves Ice Arena, complete practice schedule will be posted soon. The practice package can be added to the cart during registration checkout. There will be over 20 practices, cost will be $225 Skaters/ Goalies are free.

The United Girls Hockey Association is looking to offer the first solely dedicated High School Hockey League for Girls in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. We started this program (a 501c3 non-profit) to provide affordable in town programming for local female hockey players.

 After a very successful inaugural 2023 season we are providing 2 tiers of High School Girls Hockey in the summer of 2023. For the 2023-24 season: Our intention is to have a 4-team league constructed of multi-school Co-ops. This plan is being used in many similar sized markets around the country and is providing high school age girls a competitive no-check division in their local area. Players from any local club team could play and our league is supportive of them not missing any of their travel club team events. This league is being designed as a true supplement. We recognize the physicality of Midget and High School Hockey and the increased risk of injury, many female players and their parents have expressed to us the need and desire for this type of programming. We realize how this league can build a stronger and more cohesive hockey community for the girls, now and for years to come. Please feel free to reach out with questions about this program.
